Following hugely sucessful clinics with John Bowen at Walk to Canter in 2011 we are delighted to be continuing these on a regular basis in 2012.
John, who is an inspiration to Gillian, is an International Trainer who has been accredited with British Dressage and British Eventing for 20 years. During this time he has competed internationally in Eventing and up to Grand Prix in Dressage. John put his own competition career on hold to concentrate on training others around 10 years ago, and has achieved enormous success with riders training with him.
Event riders trained by John have won Olympic, World Championship and European Championship medals, at Senior, Young Rider and Junior Level, whilst Dressage riders training with him have won at Regional and National Championships up to Grand Prix. John teaches riders of all levels, from those just wishing to improve their riding without competition aspirations to those with serious competition plans for the future.
John prides himself on following correct training principles, with attention to the Scales of Training and progressive Mental and Physical development of the Horse and Rider combination. John charges £45.00 for a 45 minute session.
Jill Day
Jill is a highly qualified International Grand Prix rider and trainer who has represented Great Britain on nine separate occasions. Gillian finds her lessons with Jill invaluable to her.

Gillian Portus is a registered BHS AI with many years of teaching experience. Gillian is available for private lessons with your own horse.
Gillian specialises in dressage training and schooling and has years of competition experience, competing at Advanced Medium and working towards Prix St Georges at home. She has competed at regional level and is in training weekly with top International riders and trainers.
Gillian spends a great deal of time schooling her own horses very carefully, ensuring that they are well produced without rushing and always aiming for something slightly better than before!.
2012 Price List
Lesson 40 minutes (Own Horse) £30.00
Schooling £25 per session, £100 per week for 5 sessions (sessions last 30-45 minutes)
Full Schooling Livery ... from £180.00 per week, horses will work 5 days per week
Full Livery ... from £105 per week

Jill is an International Dressage Trainer who regularly attends Walk to Canter to train Gillian Portus.
